Compliance Department Schedules Saturday Pick-up for A/C Units

Aug 6, 2020

AKWESASNE — The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Compliance Department has scheduled an additional day for tribal members to pick-up an air conditioning unit. This Saturday, August 8th will be the final day for individuals that selected an air conditioner on their SRMT COVID-19 Household Relief Program Form and returned it by June 26th.

The air conditioner units will be available for pickup at the former-IGA Building between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. They are being distributed under strict guidelines due to the ongoing pandemic, so tribal members are asked to please adhere to the following requirements:

  • All traffic must use the main entrance to the former-IGA Building at the traffic light located across from the casino’s main entrance;
  • The AC unit must be picked up by the Tribal Member who submitted the COVID-19 Relief Form and was listed as Head of Household (Tribal ID required);
  • Must wear a mask while picking up and must remain in vehicle; and
  • Must respect social distancing and your patience is appreciated.

Following Saturday’s distribution, all remaining air conditioners will be made available for the second list of tribal members who returned application forms by July 11th. The second list of applicants hasn’t been finalized, but a future public notice will be issued announcing the second phase of distribution.

Should any tribal household remain unsure of their application’s status or have any other questions, please contact the Tribe’s Compliance Department at (518) 358-2272.
