Tribal EOC Reports 2 New COVID-19 Cases: 4 Total Active

Nov 10, 2021

AKWESASNE — The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and Health Services reported two (2) new positive cases of COVID-19 in Akwesasne’s southern portion. They are pleased that three (3) community members have been released from isolation however, four (4) active cases remain under the Tribe’s jurisdiction. The 4 active cases are the lowest reported since August 25th.

The EOC and Health Services report that one (1) individual was released from hospitalization, but one community member remains under the hospital’s care. Through contact tracing, there are six (6) family members in quarantine. We wish them all a safe recovery and ask everyone to please extend compassion to anyone who has been impacted by COVID-19. We are all still in this together,

If you suspect exposure to a positive case, please self-quarantine and self-monitor your symptoms for diarrhea, fever, cough, tiredness, or loss of taste or smell. If any of these develop, please call your healthcare provider for guidance. Do not drive to the clinic or hospital without calling first.

We kindly ask that you please treat everyone as if they are positive, wear a mask in all public places, wash your hands often, avoid large gatherings and uncontrolled environments where there are no safety measures, practice social distancing, and stay home if you are sick. More importantly, please choose to get vaccinated to protect yourself and those you love.

WE ARE HERE TO HELP YOU!
