Tribal Member Economic Recovery Support Update

AKWESASNE -- The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe continues to extend appreciation for tribal member’s patience as more than 12,300+ applications were received for the Tribal Member Economic Recovery Support. This is an extra-ordinary amount of applications to review and; as such; requires extra resources, time, and due diligence from everyone.
Since the submission deadline of November 1st, the Office of the Tribal Clerk and the Compliance Department have been working diligently with Tribal Council, Executive Director’s Office, Finance Office, Information Technology, and Communications to verify enrollment, mailing addresses, and other information that individuals provided.
The Tribal Clerk’s Office is working to verify enrollment information for the initial round of applications by mid-December 2021. When verified, individual tribal members will receive an email from Adobe Sign informing them of their application’s status – either it has been approved and the support amount, or it is “Null/Void.”
Due to the volume of applications that require verification, services from the Tribal Clerk’s Office will be limited until mid-December. Your cooperation and understanding are appreciated during this time period.
In the event of any applications that are denied during the initial round, an email will follow informing individuals of the reason for the application’s rejection; such as ineligibility due to non-enrollment or incorrect/missing information. For applications that were submitted by the November 1st deadline, a “one-time” weblink will be provided to re-submit another application. Do not share the weblink, as new applications will NOT be accepted at this time.
Once the corrected information is received, the updated application will continue to be processed during the initial round of the Tribal Member Economic Recovery Support. Individual checks are not expected to be mailed until early-2022.
For tribal members who were unable to apply by the application’s initial deadline of November 1st, there will be another intake period in the near future. The date for another intake period won’t be announced until all existing applications have been processed.
