Tribe Continues to Seek Information for Monsanto Lawsuit

Jul 7, 2021

AKWESASNE — Have you or a member of your family been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (NHL), Melanoma, or Breast Cancer? If so, the Tribe is seeking updated information in support of its lawsuit against Monsanto for damages caused to the Tribe by Monsanto’s polychlorinated biphenyls (“PCBs”).

The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe sued Monsanto during October 2018 in St. Louis County, Missouri. The suit was filed on behalf of its Tribal members who continue to suffer from the long-lasting effects of Monsanto’s PCBs that have poisoned members, contaminated natural resources, and caused irrevocable changes to the Tribe’s culture and way of life. Several individual Tribal members have also filed suit, alleging that Monsanto’s PCBs have increased their risk of cancer and other diseases.

If you are a member of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe and you or someone in your family has been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (“NHL”), Breast Cancer, or Melanoma; please call SRMT General Counsel Dale White to provide information on the date and type of your diagnosis by calling (518) 358-2272.

Your information will be treated as privileged and confidential. It will be shared only with the attorneys and their consultants in support of the lawsuit.
