Tribe’s EOC Reports One New COVID-19 Case: 8 Total Active

AKWESASNE — The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is reporting one (1) new case of COVID-19 today — making eight (8) total active cases under the Tribe’s jurisdiction. Two (2) of our relatives are currently hospitalized, while one (1) has been released from quarantine by public health officials and still recovering. There are 24 of our family members and friends still in quarantine at home.

As we enter Super Bowl Weekend, the EOC is reminding everyone that the risk of exposure remains high. As a result, we continue to urge individuals to please watch the big game at home with only members of your immediate household. Please avoid private gatherings or other uncontrolled events with individuals who do not live with you; particularly where there are no safety measures being followed.
