Tribes EOC Reports Two New COVID-19 Cases: 13 Total Active

Mar 10, 2021

The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is reporting two (2) new case of COVID-19 — making 13 total active cases under the Tribe’s jurisdiction. Five (5) community members have been released from isolation or quarantine, while around thirty one (31) family members and friends remain in quarantine at home. Zero (0) additional relatives have been hospitalized — making one (1) community member who is in the hospital recovering from severe symptoms. We wish them and everyone who continues to be affected by the virus a safe, and complication-free recovery.

The next vaccination clinic is available by appointment-only for enrolled tribal members (40-years old or more) living in Akwesasne’s southern portion. Those who have been diagnosed with diabetes are highly encouraged to call and schedule an appointment, as well as non-members who reside in an eligible person’s tribal household. To pre-register, please call (518) 333-0230. Do not assume you are scheduled until you talk to someone directly. (Individuals awaiting COVID-19 test results cannot receive the vaccine.)

Please help prevent any further spread of the virus by avoiding uncontrolled gatherings and following all the protective measures that were developed to keep us all safe, regardless of vaccination status: Wear your mask in public places. Stay at least six (6) feet apart from others. Wash your hands often for at least 20 seconds.

If you have a non-emergency matter, please call the Emergency Operations Center at (518) 320-0019; Monday-Friday, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
