Tribe’s EOC Reports Zero COVID-19 Cases

AKWESASNE — For just the second time since the first positive case was reported in Akwesasne on March 28, 2020; the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is reporting no new cases, no active cases, and no individuals in quarantine for the southern portion of Akwesasne. We extend a huge appreciation to the Akwesasne community for doing its part to end the pandemic. More importantly, we say “Niawenko:wa/Thank you very much” to those who have taken their shot at protecting themselves, their families, and their fellow community members and others by getting vaccinated. Ioianare/Good job everyone!

COVID-19 WALK-IN VACCINE CLINICS

An Open Walk-In Vaccine Clinic is being held every Wednesday, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the former-IGA Building located at 850 State Route 37 in Akwesasne. All individuals ages 12 years or older can attend, but keep in mind that minors require a parent to be present. If you have any questions about clinics being conducted by SRMT Health Services please call (518) 333-0230.

COVID-19 PCR TEST COLLECTION CLINICS

Saint Regis Mohawk Health Services is conducting COVID-19 PCR Test Collection Clinics daily from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., or while test kits last, at their main campus located at 404 State Route 37 in Akwesasne, NY. Please utilize the new road located across from McGee Road. The drive-thru format is open for all community members and employees of the Tribe, Mohawk Council of Akwesasne, Akwesasne businesses, and local school districts.
