Tribe’s EOC Reports Zero New COVID-19 Cases: 12 Total Active

Feb 11, 2021

AKWESASNE — The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is reporting no new cases of COVID-19 today, however confirmation with Franklin County Public Health Department notes there are twelve (12) total active cases under the Tribe’s jurisdiction. None of our relatives have resolved since yesterday and ten (10) of our family and friends remain in quarantine. Two (2) of our relatives remain hospitalized due to the development of symptoms after being released from quarantine — showing not everyone makes a successful recovery. Please continue to wish everyone who is still being impacted by COVID-19 a safe and symptom-free recovery.

The Saint Regis Mohawk Health Services announced vaccinations are now available for all enrolled tribal members residing in the southern portion of Akwesasne (18yrs-old and over) for tomorrow, Friday February 12th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (or until supplies run out) at the former-IGA Building. Please bring your tribal enrollment card for screening and be prepared to wait a minimum of 15 minutes for observation after receiving the vaccine. This is on a first come first serve basis, so please be considerate and allow elders to park nearest to the building and practice social distancing. For more information, please call (518) 333-0230.

Please help prevent any further spread of the virus by avoiding uncontrolled gatherings and following all the protective measures that were developed to keep us all safe: Wear your mask in public places. Stay at least six (6) feet apart from others. Wash your hands often for at least 20 seconds.

If you have a non-emergency matter, please call the Emergency Operations Center at (518) 320-0019; Monday-Friday, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
