Jul 16, 2021

AKWESASNE — The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Health Services is reporting a 44.7% vaccination rate in the southern portion of Akwesasne — leaving 55.3% or 4,363 family members and friends who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19. The outbreak took place between non-vaccinated individuals and shows that the COVID-19 virus is still present and poses a threat. As a result, individuals traveling to Kahnawake are asked to please exercise caution and wear a mask in all public indoor places, including at businesses and stores.
