Environmental Assessment Comment Period Notification - Kahwa:tsire Housing Development Project

AKWESASNE — The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Environment Division is notifying community members that a 15-day Public Comment Period is being provided for an environmental assessment. The Kahwa:tsire Housing Development Project, is the proposed construction of 27 residential lots and a new paved roadway. The proposed site is located on the west side of Helena Road in the vicinity of
McNeil Road.
The submitted environmental assessment is available to view under “Publications” on the Tribe’s website at www.srmt-nsn.gov. A copy can also be requested by contacting Dylan Herne, SRMT Environmental Assessment Coordinator/Water Quality Technician at (518) 358-5937. The deadline to submit written comments is Thursday, July 12th and can be sent to:
