May 9, 2022: Absentee Ballot: Requests can start by calling Tribal Clerks Office at (518) 358-2272.
May 11, 2022: Deadline for Nominees to hand in paper work to Cathy Mitchell, Executive Assistant/Board Liaison at 71 Margaret Terrance Memorial Way, Akwesasne, NY 13655. Each nominee can complete all paperwork at Tribal Caucus as well.
May 13, 2022: Deadline to Post Unofficial Candidates(s)
May 20, 2022: Deadline to Post Official Candidates(s)
May 25, 2022: Absentee Ballot: Deadline to request an absentee ballot is 12:00 p.m. by calling Tribal Clerk’s Office at (518) 358-2272
May 27, 2022: Voter Eligibility: Deadline to verify eligibility to vote is 4:00 p.m. by calling Tribal Clerk’s Office at (518) 358-2272
June 1, 2022: Deadline to request In-Home voting: Requests can be made by calling Tribal Clerk’s Office by 12:00 p.m. at (518) 358-2272
Early Voting: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Ionkwakiohkwaró:ron Tribal Administration Building
June 2, 2022: Early Voting: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Ionkwakiohkwaró:ron Tribal Administration Building
June 4, 2022: Tribal Election Day @ Ionkwakiohkwaró:ron Tribal Administration Building, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Absentee Ballot: Deadline to receive all absentee ballots is 12:00 p.m. (Mailed to address provided or drop off at the secured ballot box at the Ionkwakiohkwaró:ron Tribal Administration Building front entrance. Drop off is only on Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.)
June 6-10, 2022 Appeal Week: Any appeals can be submitted to the Office of Boards and Commission, ATTN to Cathy Mitchell, Executive Assistant/Board Liaison or Aymee Thompson, Executive Administration Assistant at 71 Margaret Terrance Memorial Way, Akwesasne, NY 13655.
