Tribal Police Respond to Bomb Threat

Threat Found to Be Non-Credible

On January 13, 2013 the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Police received a phone call around 8:30 a.m. where a male caller stated there was a bomb at the Tribal Community Building. He further stated that he had placed the bomb at the Tribal Council Building.
Police have identified the source of the threat and determined the threat to be non-credible. A K-9 unit was dispatched to the Tribal Community Building and conducted a sweep of the building with negative results. Police are investigating the incident and charges are pending against the alleged suspect.
