Draft 2022 Annual Tribal Budget Presentation Meeting

AKWESASNE – In accordance with the Tribal Procedures Act adopted by referendum on Ohiarí:ha/June 1, 2013; the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe is continuing to take steps to ensure that financial accountability is provided to tribal membership. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic, arrangements have been made to provide an online presentation of the Draft 2022 Annual Tribal Budget at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Tsiothórhrha/December 7, 2021.

There will be no in-person presentation, so a link to access the online meeting will be available on the Tribal Members Portal prior to December 7th. To access the portal, please visit the Tribe’s website at www.srmt-nsn.gov, click on “Tribal Members” located in the top right corner, and follow the instructions provided. Information on how to join the meeting by telephone will also be available on the portal.

Beginning on Monday, Kentenhkó:wa/November 29, 2021, tribal members may access a summary of the Draft 2022 Annual Tribal Budget on the Tribal Member’s Portal. A copy of the budget summary can also be requested at the Ionkwakiohkwaróron Tribal Administration Building’s main reception desk prior to the presentation.

Tribal members can provide questions and comments during the December 7th budget presentation. Members will also have five (5) days following the presentation to submit written comments or concerns about the Draft 2022 Annual Tribal Budget. The deadline to submit comments is Sunday, Tsiothórhrha/December 12, 2021.

Following receipt of any written comments, the Tribe may hold a second virtual meeting to provide responses to comments received — prior to its acceptance by Tribal Council Resolution for the coming fiscal year.
