The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe proudly congratulates Akwesasne Thunder on an outstanding season and their remarkable journey to the 2026 Founders Cup National Junior B Lacrosse Championship in Saint John, New Brunswick.
Thunder demonstrated incredible determination, skill, and teamwork throughout the tournament, putting together an impressive three-day run and remaining undefeated. One of the tournament highlights was a hard-fought victory over our sister community, the Seneca War Chiefs, earning a 3-0 win and strengthening their pursuit against Mavericks Elite today, August 19th, 3 p.m. EST.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the players for their dedication and commitment both on and off the floor. We also recognize the coaches, team staff, volunteers, and families whose support, guidance, and encouragement have helped these young athletes achieve success.
