The SRMT Environment Division Remediation and Restoration Program and its licensed contractors will be demolishing and removing one abandoned structure the week of October 21st and a second one the week of October 26th, 2026.
These buildings were deemed unsafe to enter for asbestos testing. In an abundance of caution, the buildings will be removed as if they contain asbestos.
The first structure is located on State Rt 37 and the second is on E. Church St. The sites under demolition will be clearly marked with signs and appropriate measures will be taken to ensure the safety of surrounding homes and businesses.
