The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe proudly celebrates the outstanding academic achievements of Grayci George, Salmon River Central School’s Class of 2026 salutatorian, for her outstanding academic achievement and impressive 98.9 GPA, demonstrating excellence both academically and athletically.
Grayci is the daughter of Alethea Bear Lazore and Darren George, sister to Devin George, the late Dawson George, and Shaydi Oakes.
As a multi-sport student-athlete, Grayci has competed in volleyball, lacrosse, hockey and track at the varsity level for Salmon River. She participated on regional and national lacrosse and volleyball programs— all of which, earned her multiple Section X awards, among others, and recognition across the multitude of sports teams she played on.
Outside of sports, Grayci demonstrates an outstanding dedication to the STEM field, leadership, and mohawk culture through her extracurricular activities. She has served as an active member of the North Country Science and Technology Entry Program (NCSTEP), Sources of Strength, the SRMT Mohawk Youth Health Ambassadors (MYHA), Varsity Club, and the National Honor Society—earning her numerous academic awards, artistic honors, multiple regional art exhibition placements, a national STEM recognition, multiple scholarships, and the SRMT Education Division Highest GPA Award. Following graduation, Grayci plans to attend McGill University, where she will pursue a Bachelor of Science in Architecture in the School of Engineering.
