The Tribe's annual Community Food Box Distribution is scheduled for Saturday, November 7, 2026, at the Ionkwakiohkwaró:ron Tribal Administration Building from 10 a.m. until all boxes are distributed. This event is open to all community members.
A maximum of two (2) households per vehicle will be permitted. Attendees are required to show identification prior to receiving their food box. Required ID includes Tribal ID, Mohawks of Akwesasne ID Card (Canadian status card), and the Mohawk Nation ID card (red card).
Additional Information:
- Prior to attending the food giveaway, please ensure your freezers are cleaned out and there is ample room for incoming food items.
- Restroom facilities and check-in points will be along McGee Road.
- If you need assistance while waiting, turn on your hazard lights, and a volunteer will assist you.
- For medical emergencies, call 911 immediately.
- CKON FM Radio will be broadcasting regular updates throughout the day.
Traffic Pattern:
The line will begin on the Tribal Administration Building on Margaret Terrance Memorial Way and proceed down Route 37 to McGee Road. Signs will be listed, and the food box giveaway volunteers will guide vehicles through the process. Due to the large number of anticipated cars, we ask that you please be prepared for possible wait times. This includes bringing water and snacks, and ensure your vehicle has enough fuel.
