On Seskéha/August 28, 2026 the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe celebrated Joe Francis and his retirement as Facilities Director. Staff, colleagues, family, and friends gathered to recognize his years of dedicated service, leadership, and commitment to both his employees and the SRMT organization. Throughout his career, Joe's expertise and dedication helped shape and strengthen the workplace and the people around him.
Many gathered at the Teionkwarihwaienawà:kon Community Service Building to offer their congratulations and best wishes as Joe begins this well-deserved retirement. Representatives from the Executive Directors Office, Jill Benedict and James Lazore, delivered heartfelt speeches filled with warmth, appreciation, and humor. Their remarks highlighted Joe's commitment to excellence, strong work ethic, and exceptional leadership, as well as his role as a supportive mentor and coach to his staff.
Guests enjoyed a traditional meal provided by the EDO, followed by a delicious berry cake as they reflected on Joe's many contributions and accomplishments.
While we will miss Joe's daily presence, we take comfort in knowing that his influence and leadership will continue to inspire us for years to come.
