AKWESASNE — The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Council announced that registration is now open for the September 2021 Tribal Monthly Meeting. The registration process allows the Tribal Clerk to verify tribal enrollment, as monthly tribal meetings are intended for membership only.
The next tribal meeting is being chaired by Tribal Chief Beverly Cook and will be held on Saturday, Seskehkó:wa/September 11, 2021 beginning at 10:00 a.m. It will be a hybrid meeting that allows tribal members to attend virtually or in-person in the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort Ballroom.
The September Tribal Monthly Meeting will include a one-hour discussion for New Business; followed by updates from the Tribe’s Emergency Operations Center and Health Services; presentations from the Legal Aid Society of Northeastern New York, Cannabis Control Board and an update on the American Rescue Plan Act.
Tribal members who attend in-person must wear a mask and practice social distancing, while those who participate virtually must complete registration BEFORE 4:00 p.m. on September 10th. To register, please click the following link: https://bit.ly/3zFzguk.
Tribal members can submit questions or comments for the September Tribal Monthly Meeting during the registration process or by emailing them to meetings@srmt-nsn.gov. All questions will be posed and answered in the order that they are received.
The monthly tribal meeting agenda package and presentations will be available on the Tribal Members Portal prior to the meeting, which is accessible at www.srmt-nsn.gov.
