SRMT & MCA JOINT RELEASE NO ILLEGAL DUMPING IN AKWESASNE

Akwesasne — The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe and the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne remind all community members and our neighbors that the illegal dumping of solid waste, including garbage, construction materials, and other materials, is strictly prohibited. Anyone found illegally dumping may face fines and penalties under applicable laws and regulations.


Please note: Garbage pickup in the Districts of Tsi Snaihne, Kana:takon, and Kawehno:ke is for members within those jurisdictions only.

 

For those residing in the jurisdiction of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe, the following local facilities are available for proper waste disposal and recycling:
 

SRMT Solid Waste Transfer Station

Hours of operation are Monday to Wednesday 7 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., Friday to Saturday 7 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.
