AKWESASNE — The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Emergency Operations Center and Health Services are continuing to report an increase in COVID-19 cases, with ten (10) new positive cases today. They are pleased that 24 community members have been released from isolation and there are no hospitalizations however, 64 total active cases remain under the Tribe’s jurisdiction. Contract tracers are busy providing exposure notifications, but at this time 38 family members and friends remain in quarantine. Individuals are asked to remain vigilant and follow all safety measures being recommended to help control community spread of the virus.
PLEASE STAY SAFE!
The EOC kindly reminds everyone that visiting places where you do not know the vaccinations status of visitors and visiting places that do not enforce mask wearing or social distancing is the highest risk area for contracting COVID-19. Masks should properly cover both mouth AND nose. For the best protection, the EOC also recommends that everyone wears either N-95 or KN-95 masks.
Please remember to follow all COVID-19 safety precautions -- wash your hands often, avoid uncontrolled gatherings, social distance, stay in your immediate bubble, and stay home if you are sick.
