AKWESASNE — The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Emergency Operations Center is reporting two (2) new cases of COVID-19 today under the Tribe’s jurisdiction. We are pleased that two (2) community member have been released from isolation however, eighteen (18) total active cases remain in the southern portion of Akwesasne. There also remains thirty-nine (39) family members and friends in quarantine at home and following guidance from public health.
COVID-19 WALK-IN VACCINE CLINIC – FRIDAY, MAY 7TH (PFIZER)
Saint Regis Mohawk Health Services is holding a walk-in vaccination clinic tomorrow on Friday, May 7th for 16 and 17-year olds who are interested in receiving the Pfizer Vaccine. It is being held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the former-IGA Building at 850 State Route 37 in Akwesasne. Vaccinated 16 and 17-year olds will be entered into a drawing to win a $250 Apple Gift Card! A parent must be present to receive the vaccination.
Health Services is now accepting signups for children ages 12 to 15 years old in anticipation of the FDA granting approval for this age group to receive the Pfizer vaccine. Please call (518) 333-0230 to leave your name and a good telephone number to be contacted when the Pfizer vaccine becomes available.
As a reminder, Health Services is conducting Walk-in Moderna Vaccine Clinics every Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the former-IGA Building located at 850 State Route 37 in Akwesasne. The walk-in clinic is open for all individuals 18-years or older who are interested in receiving their first dose (Prime) of the Moderna Vaccine. Anybody 18 years and older who chooses to be vaccinated will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win prizes: including a 70” Flat Screen TV, $250 BJ’s Gift Cards, and a 1-Night Stay in Lake Placid with Zipline tickets!
