AKWESASNE — The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is reporting two (2) new case of COVID-19 — making 5 total active cases under the Tribe’s jurisdiction. Two (2) community members have been released from isolation or quarantine, while approximately ten (10) family members and friends remain in quarantine at home. Zero (0) relatives are currently hospitalized. We wish them and everyone who continues to be affected by the virus a safe, and complication-free recovery.
The next COVID-19 community drive-thru test collection will be held Tuesday, March 23rd at the former-IGA Building beginning at 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., or while test supplies last. Akwesasne residents and employees can also schedule a test by calling Mountain Medical Urgent Care in Malone at (518) 521-3322 or their Massena facility at (315) 705-0700. These are free PCR nasal swab tests, but requests to receive a Rapid Test is at an individual’s expense.
Vaccination clinic is available by appointment-only. To pre-register, please call (518) 333-0230. Do not assume you are scheduled until you talk to someone directly. (Individuals awaiting COVID-19 test results cannot receive the vaccine.)
