AKWESASNE — The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is reporting four (4) new cases of COVID-19 today, which makes 19 total active cases under the Tribe’s jurisdiction. We are pleased that three (3) of our relatives have resolved since yesterday however, 57 of our family members and friends remain in quarantine. We continue to wish everyone in isolation or quarantine a safe and speedy recovery.
The COVID-19 Pandemic has changed many things in our daily lives; such as how we work, attend school, or even interact with each other. It continues to be an evolving situation, but everyone is doing their best to keep our community healthy and safe. To help, we are asking individuals to share their own personal experiences, either as a positive case or through direct exposure.
The EOC invites individuals to share their pandemic experience through testimonies, video, audio, or artwork—any way you want. All submissions are welcomed and may be used in educational materials intended to raise awareness on the importance of remaining vigilant. Submissions will remain anonymous, unless indicated otherwise, and may be emailed to communications@srmt-nsn.gov.
