Tribe’s EOC Reports Zero New COVID-19 Cases: 5 Total Active

AKWESASNE — The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Emergency Operations Center is reporting no new cases of COVID-19 today in Akwesasne’s southern portion. We are pleased that two (2) more community members have been released from isolation — leaving five (5) total active cases under the Tribe’s jurisdiction. There are 20 family members and friends in quarantine following guidance from public health. We continue to appreciate everyone’s efforts to keep our case numbers low.

COVID-19 WALK-IN VACCINE CLINIC – EVERY WEDNESDAY

Saint Regis Mohawk Health Services has now administered 3,199 Prime vaccinations to Akwesasne residents and those with social or economic ties to the community. A total of 2,702 Booster shots were also administered to individuals who are now fully vaccinated. A huge “Niawenko:wa/Thank you very much” to our health workers who have conducted a combined total of 5,901 total vaccinations.

Health Services is conducting COVID-19 Walk-in Moderna Vaccine Clinics every Wednesday beginning on Wednesday, April 28th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the former-IGA Building located at 850 State Route 37 in Akwesasne. The walk-in clinic is open for all individuals 18-years or older who are interested in receiving their first dose (Prime) of the Moderna Vaccine.

For 16 and 17-year old who are interested in receiving the Pfizer Vaccine, a Walk-in Vaccine clinic will be held on Friday, May 7th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the former-IGA Building. You may also contact Health Services to schedule an appointment by calling (518) 333-0230. Please leave your name and telephone number for a health worker to contact you. A parent must be present for the appointment.

COVID-19 TEST COLLECTION – MOUNTAIN MEDICAL URGENT CARE

Akwesasne residents and employees can schedule a COVID-19 test by contacting Mountain Medical Urgent Care in Malone at (518) 521-3322 or Mountain Medical Urgent Care in Massena at (315) 705-0700. The PCR Test is free however, requests to receive a Rapid Test is at the individual’s expense.
