Mission: To positively enhance the image of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe through public opinion and public perception.

The purpose of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Communications Department is to positively enhance the image of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe in a professional manner by promoting information flow, promoting effective relations with various publics and media, providing interviews and public comments, professionally staging public events such as press conferences and inaugurations, working closely with Tribal Council and senior staff, educating the community and surrounding areas to the Tribe’s organization and ensuring consistent and unified position statements as measured by public opinion and public perception.

The office is responsible for developing and implementing all internal and external communication policies, logo management, image development, research and coordination of efforts between divisions.

The Communications Department provides the public relations function for the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal government, its programs and divisions and the community at large. This entails the dissemination of information to the general public and the tribal community through managing media relations, press releases, Kawennì:ios monthly newsletter and the Tribe’s internet, intranet, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube sites.
