SUMMARY: Responsible for the safe, operation of stamping machines and packaging. Responsible and accountable for their actions while performing their assigned duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· The individual will be responsible and accountable for receivable products and ensure they are returned to customers.

· Accounting for all products shipped and received at designated location.

· Follow department policies on shipping and receiving, by completing reports as needed.

· Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards.

· Monitor moving parts of machine safely.

· Tend by filling or removing products from conveyor belt area of machine.

· Remove finished packaged items from machine and separate rejected items.

· Regulate machine flow and speed of feed conveyor.

· Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to a supervisor.

· Conduct inventory and ensure quality control of all supplies, and products.

· Finished products packages will be hand taped and labeled according to policy guidelines.

· Count and stack products on pallets and attach labels for lot numbers and place products in assigned lot areas.

· Utilize a pallet jack to transport products from location to location within shipping and receiving area to machine location.

· Stock and sort product for packaging or filling machine operation,

· Ensure all supplies needed to ensure a successful operation are on premise and ordered, such as wrapping paper, plastic sheet, boxes, cartons, glue, labels, tape and labels.

· Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material when applicable

· Complete reports as needed and sign off on all applicable report forms as per department policy.

· Effectively work as a team player in a daily work environment.

· Maintain a clean and safe work area on a daily basis

· Flip packs of cigarettes when necessary

· Hand stamp packs of cigarettes utilizing a hand iron

· Ensure confidentiality at all times

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or (GED) and 5 years work experience, as Laborer, Machine Operator, Warehousing and willing to be trained and maintain safety certificates.

Other Skills and Abilities: Computer testing in the applicable skills may be a requirement during the interview process. Work long hours conducting repetitive procedures while standing and performing assigned tasks. Work as a team player in all aspects of the assigned duties.

The successful candidate must pass a drug test and background check prior to employment.

A list of qualified candidates is created from interviews that may be used for Emergency Hire individuals to similar positions within the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe for a period of six months.
